If you require a visa to attend the conference, please visit the BOCA official visa application portal. Select “Attending Conference/Exhibition” as your purpose of travel and submit the required documents accordingly.

1. Eligibility and Purpose:

eVisa is for short-term stays: The eVisa is designed for tourism, business, visiting relatives, and attending international conferences or sporting events, with a maximum stay of 30 days. 

Conference/Exhibition Purpose: If you are attending a conference or exhibition, select "Attending Conference/Exhibition" as your purpose of travel when applying. 

Organized by Government Agencies: Foreign nationals invited to attend international conferences, sporting events, trade fairs, or other activities organized, co-organized, or sponsored by central government agencies are also eligible for an eVisa. 

2. Application Process:

• Online Application: Apply online through the BOCA official visa application portal. 

• Print and Sign: Complete the online form, print it out, and sign it. 

• Required Documents:

• • • Signed Visa Application Form: The printed and signed application form. 

    • Passport: Original passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining, and a photocopy of the bio-page. 

    • Passport Photos: Two-inch color passport photos taken within 6 months on a white background. 

    • Invitation Letter: A letter of invitation, proof of exhibition, or other relevant documentation related to the conference. 

    • Itinerary: General information about the event, a copy of your itinerary in Taiwan, and round-trip flight tickets.
