Welcome to Nanban AI. This application is developed by Sharan K.E. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the Nanban mobile application. Nanban AI is built on a "Privacy-First" architecture, meaning your personal conversations stay with you, not on our servers.

1. Data Collection & Usage

• Digital Assistant & Screen Context: If you set Nanban AI as your Default Digital Assistant, invoking it allows the App to capture the text or images currently visible on your screen ("Screen Context"). This data is processed ephemerally and transmitted securely to the Google Gemini API to provide assistance. It is never permanently stored, logged, or used to train AI models.

• Nanban Eyes & POV (Live Vision & Voice): Temporary camera frames and live audio streams are processed ephemerally in real-time and deleted immediately. Live speech transcripts strictly adapt to your selected display language (Tamil or English script isolation). Furthermore, live transcripts generated during Filmmaker Mode sessions are strictly temporary and are never saved to your chat history.

• Local Chat History & AI Gallery: Your chat history is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain cloud backups. Uninstalling the App or clearing app data will permanently delete your history. Generated AI artwork and videos are stored locally on your device (Pictures/Nanban & Movies/Nanban).

• Compute-Based Usage: We track compute consumption to manage usage limits. Free users receive 2,50,000 points and Premium users receive 50,00,000 points, which reset automatically every 5 hours. Nanban Power users receive 5,00,00,000 points per session for high-volume research and 4K AI video generation. We also monitor weekly usage (25 lakhs for Free / 5 crore for Premium / 50 crore for Power) to ensure service stability.

• File Uploads & AI Media Generation: Documents (PDFs), images, or video files you select are processed via secure third-party AI APIs (Google Gemini & OpenAI ChatGPT models via Microsoft Azure) to generate responses and videos. We do not use your personal files to train our AI models.

• Account Data: Your name and email are securely synced to Google Cloud Firestore. This allows for account recovery and ensures your Premium/Power subscription status is recognized if you switch devices. Passwords are not stored on our servers.

• District & Persona Data: Your selected district and persona mode (e.g., Chennaiite Mode or Verithanam Mode) are stored locally. While location is used for auto-detection, we do not store your exact GPS coordinates on our servers.

2. Device Permissions

• Screen Content: Used strictly for the Digital Assistant to analyze your current view when manually triggered.

• Camera & Microphone: Camera is used for the Flashlight and Nanban POV. Microphone is used for voice-to-text. Neither is active in the background.

• Location: Used for hyper-local weather, place recommendations, and district auto-detection. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored.

• File Access: We use the Android native file picker. Nanban AI cannot scan your folders or see any files except the specific ones you choose to attach.

• Notifications: Used to send alerts for Energy recharges and occasional local updates. You can opt out at any time in your device settings.

3. Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini API: Provides AI reasoning. Data sent here is governed by Google’s Enterprise Privacy Terms, ensuring it is not used to train their global models.

• Google Places & Search APIs: Temporarily processes your query/coordinates to recommend nearby locations and retrieve Google Image Search results with citations.

• YouTube API Services: Powers the in-app video search and playback. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that your data is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

• Google Play Billing: Manages all subscriptions. We never see or store your credit card or banking details.

• Firebase & AdMob: Used for app stability, security (App Check), push notifications, and serving ads via privacy-compliant mediation networks (Unity Ads) to free users.

• Microsoft Azure & OpenAI API: Powers ChatGPT reasoning models under Microsoft Azure Enterprise Privacy Terms, ensuring data is never used to train global AI models.

4. Your Rights & Data Deletion

• In-App Deletion: You can delete your entire account and cloud profile via the "Permanently Delete Account" button in Settings.

• Manual Chat & Gallery Deletion: You can clear all chat history locally or wipe all generated AI artwork and videos anytime via the "Clear All Chats" and "Clear AI Gallery" settings.

• Email Request: If you have uninstalled the app, email kesharan88@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" to wipe your data from our database.

5. Children's Privacy

Nanban AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.
