On 4th March 2022, Friday, the First meeting of the IRB was held at the college council room of AMC MET Medical College. A total of 13 protocols were on board. 7 protocols from residents and 6 protocols by faculty members were presented and discussed. All of the project protocols were approved directly or positively with minor changes. IRB Members critically reviewed and shared scientific remarks to improve the protocol. Investigator residents/faculty members clarified the doubts and accepted suggestions for improvement. Some of the investigators were informed to submit the improved version of the protocol with suggested changes. Approval letters were soon issued to all the presenting investigator residents and faculty members.
On 13th July 2022, Wednesday, 2nd meeting of the IRB was held. A total of 10 protocols were on board. 2 UG students, 4 residents, 2 senior residents and 2 faculty members presented their study protocol. Most of these protocols were approved directly or positively with minor changes. Critical scientific remarks to improve the protocol, thoughtful and specific questioning, appropriate and detailed answering clarifying all the doubts/queries and useful practical solutions/suggestions, were the real ingredients for making it a “successful” IRB meeting. It was like a blessing & a surprising coincidence that our date of IRB fall on the day of “Gurupurnima” and we were lucky to have our respected Dr Varsha Patel madam visiting our institute for this meeting.
On 14th October, 2022, Friday, 3rd meeting of the IRB was held. A total of 13 protocols were on board. 2 UG students, 6 residents, 2 senior residents and 3 faculty members presented their study protocol. All the protocols were approved directly or positively with minor suggestions for scientific and technical improvement. Critical scientific remarks to improve the protocol was a learning tool for everyone.
On 3rd February, 2023, Friday, 4th meeting of the IRB was held. A total of 12 protocols (1 protocol from Intern doctor, 1 from faculty member and 10 from resident doctors) were presented and critically reviewed for approval. All the protocols were approved directly or positively with only minor suggestions (for scientific and technical improvement). We are thankful to all the students, faculty members of the institute, IRB members and the all the support staff for making it a successful IRB.
On 10th March 2023, Friday, the Fifth meeting of the IRB was held at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 11 protocols were presented, which included 10 from Resident doctors and 1 from faculty. It included 8 protocols from dissertation and 3 other research protocols. All of the project protocols were approved, with minor changes suggested in a few protocols.
The 6th Meeting of the IRB was held on 3rd April 2023, Monday at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 10 protocols were presented, which included 9 from Resident doctors and 1 from faculty. It included 8 protocols from dissertation and 2 other research protocols. The committee looked into the details clarified any doubts and suggested changes wherever necessary. All of the project protocols were approved, with minor changes suggested in a few protocols. 9 out of 10 protocols were approved and repeat presentation with improved protocol was advised in one of the protocol.
The 7th Meeting of the IRB was held on 12th May 2023, Friday at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 11 protocols were presented, which included 7 from Resident doctors and 4 from faculty. It included 4 protocols from dissertation and 7 other research protocols. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved all the protocol with or without minor changes.
The 8th Meeting of the IRB was held on 4th August 2023, Friday at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 12 protocols were presented, which included 11 from Resident doctors and 1 from faculty. It included 4 protocols from dissertation and 8 other research protocols. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved all the protocol with or without minor changes.
The 9th Meeting of the IRB was held on 24th August 2023, Thursday at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 11 protocols, all by the residents doctors, were presented during the meeting. It included 10 dissertation study porotocol and 1 research study protocol. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved the protocol with or without minor changes.
The 10th Meeting of the IRB was held on 20th October 2023, Friday at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 11 protocols, all by the residents doctors, were presented during the meeting. All the protocol were dissertation study protocols by resident doctors. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved the protocols. Some of the protocol required some improvement, while others were approved in its presented form.

Total 11 protocols, all by the residents doctors, were presented during the meeting. Total 7 dissertation protocol and 3 Research protocols and 1 Revised Ph.D. thesis were presented during the meeting. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved all the protocols. Some of the protocol required some improvement, while others were approved in its presented form.

Total 21 protocols, all by the residents doctors, were presented during the meeting for expedite review. All 21 protocol were dissertation thesis protocols. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved all the protocols in their presented form or with some suggested changes.
The 14th Meeting of the IRB was held on 19th March 2024, Tuesday at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 19 protocols, all by the residents doctors were presented during the meeting for expedite review. All 19 protocol were dissertation thesis protocols by the resident doctors from department of General Surgery. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved all the protocols in their presented form or with some suggested changes.
The 15th Meeting of the IRB was held on 28th June 2024, Friday at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 10 protocols, all by the residents / senior resident doctors were presented during the meeting for review. There were 9 research protocol while 1 was dissertation protocol. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and approved all the protocols in their presented form or with some suggested changes.
The 16th Meeting of the IRB was held on 30th July 2024, Tuesday afternoon at the college council room of Narendra Modi Medical College. Total 10 protocols (1 by UG student, 6 by Resident/SR and 3 by faculty members) were presented during the meeting for review. There were 8 research protocol while 2 was dissertation protocol. The committee looked into all the technical and ethical aspects of the research and considered the protocols for approval.
