(2022-2025; INR 8.60 Crores) ”R & D on surface modification using beams & plasma technologies for nuclear & societal applications”. The project focus is on surface processing of materials using electron beam, laser & plasma technologies. Development of a large area non-thermal plasma device for radioactive decontamination and enhancement of crop yield; study of laser treated bio implants, enabling thin films coating using RF PECVD and EBPVD for applications in neutron detectors and lasers are some of the aims. The project has been conceived for Atma Nirbhar Bharat by developing indigenous technology on radioactive decontamination, crop quality enhancement and improved quality of bio implant.
