Dr. Namita Maiti, PhD

Dr Namita Maiti received her PhD from Homi Bhaba National Institute, University of Mumbai, M.Tech. (Control Instrumentation) from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1995 and B.E. (Electrical Engineering) from Calcutta University in 1986. 

She joined Bhaba Atomic Research Center in 1986 through 30th batch of training school. She has been involved in design, development, installation, commissioning and testing of several electron beam welding machines inside and outside BARC. 

She has developed transverse electron gun for electron beam coating system. Currently, she is involved in the design of indirectly heated cathode based electron beam welding and melting machines and box coater system for multilayer coating. Her research interest includes high power gun design, high voltage DC power source and digital signal processing.
