NAMI Erie County provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. What We Do
We educate. Offered around the county, our education programs ensure families, individuals and educators get the support and information they need.
We support. Throughout the county, we host support groups, for both those with mental illness and caregivers, so that no one feels alone in their mental health journey. Please see our local calendar of events to participate in NAMI activities and get to know the community.
We advocate. NAMI is involved with shaping public policy that effects people with mental illness and their families and provides volunteer leaders with the tools, resources and skills necessary to advocate for those effected by mental health conditions.
We listen. Our national toll-free NAMI HelpLine allows us to respond personally, providing free information and support—a much-needed lifeline for many. If you have a non-emergency concern you are welcome to contact us NAMI of Erie County Ohio.
We lead. We actively engage the media and produce some media ourselves which emphasizes to the public the importance of the mental health journeys of our community members. Please see our local calendar of events to participate in NAMI activities and get to know the community.
