History
Erie County Ohio NAMI is an affiliate of the national alliance on mental illness. Although NAMI had existed once in Erie County before it was reestablished by Julie Hammond and Celine Hemminger around 2020, it has now been flourishing both as a community of those who care for someone with mental illness as well as those with a mental illness. Our goal for our participants and members is to not only help them be well and cope with mental illness but to flourish as individuals, families, and friends.
