2025 08 30: K.N. had a research meeting with Prof. Jeffrey L. Brodsky from the University of Pittsburgh.
2025 08 27: K.N. participated in OsakaMito2025 (International Workshop on Metabolite Code and Cell Homeostasis)@Osaka University and gave a research presentation.
2025 08 14: A graduate (master’s degree) who started a research position at a cosmetics company visited our laboratory.
2025 08 14: The results of the 2025 Graduate School Entrance Examination were announced. One student from our laboratory (master’s Program) successfully passed.
2025 07 26: The 2026 graduate school entrance examination was held.
2025 07 25: The lab class for third-year undergraduate students were completed.
2025 06 20: Our manuscript entitled "Hydroxyurea modulates thiol–disulfide homeostasis in the yeast endoplasmic reticulum" has been published in Life Science Alliance. This project was led by Y.T., a graduate student in our lab. This is a joint research with labs at Kyoto Sangyo University and Nara Institute of Science and Technology. Congratulations to all involved!
2025 06 06: K.N. gave a presentation at the 19th Research Grant Report Meeting of the Institute of Fermentation, Osaka.
2025 06 03: A review article entitled "Structural Basis for Metabolic Regulation and Defense Against Ectopic Metabolic Stress by Ubiquitin Ligases" was published in the Journal of the Crystallographic Society of Japan. This was co-authored by K.N. and Prof. Tsunehiro Mizushima (Hyogo University).
2025 05 29: Our paper was accepted for publication!! More details will be available shortly.
2025 04 15: The manuscript entitled "Snf1 and yeast GSK3-β activates Tda1 to suppress glucose starvation signaling" has been published in EMBO Reports. This is a joint research with labs at Nagoya University and Fukuoka Women's University. Congratulations to all involved!

2025 03 28: K.N. visited Prof. Tsunehiro Mizushima's lab at the University of Hyogo and had a discussion.
2025 03 24: K.N. participated in the National Institute of Genetics research seminar "Diversity and Harmony of Cellular Apparatus in Single-Cell Organisms" and K.N. gave an oral presentation.
2025 03 21: The 2024 Graduation Ceremony was held. Congratulations to all graduates and those who completed their studies.
2025 03 06: The NCU Life Science Poster Presentation was held. Two members of our laboratory (Y.T., K.N.) gave poster presentations.

2024 07 26: Eight rotation students finished their time in the lab. They analyzed the half-life and the ubiquitination status of mislocalized mitochondrial citrate synthase in wild-type and mutant cells.

2023 12 19: The manuscript entitled "Degradation of citrate synthase lacking the mitochondrial targeting sequence is inhibited in cells defective in Hsp70/Hsp40 chaperones under heat stress conditions" was accepted for publication in FEMS Yeast Research. Two graduate students (M.H. and T.K.) contributed to this project. Congratulations to all involved!

2023 04 15: Our manuscript entitled "Defective import of mitochondrial metabolic enzyme elicits ectopic metabolic stress" has been published in Science Advances. Four graduate students, T.K., A.K., Y.T., and M.H. in our lab joined this project. T.K. (co-first author) made an extremely important contribution to this project. This is a joint research with laboratories at Hyogo University, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Fukuoka Women's University, and Kyusyu University. Congratulations to all involved!!

Two graduate students, Y.T. and T.K. joined this project. This is an international joint research with the Brodsky Lab at the University of Pittsburgh and the Kamura Lab at the Nagoya University.
