・本発表では、2016年度の日仏会館学術研究助成により、古橋が2016年6月にフランスに滞在して行った「フランスの『ひきこもり』青年の対処法・治療に関する研究」の成果を提示した。
・古橋は、2016年6月に、ストラスブール医学部精神科やリヨン大学精神科、さらにはインターネット依存との関連についてフランス依存協会などで講演を行い、フランスにおける「ひきこもり」青年たちの対処法・治療についてフロアの精神科医や臨床心理士、フランスの精神分析家たちと議論を行ってきた。
・また、ストラスブール大学病院精神科外来でひきこもっている青年から直接話を聴いて精神医学の臨床の立場から彼らを観察してきた。
・また、2017年はストラスブール大学医学部精神科セクター医療観察医となり、長期にわたって閉じこもっているものの自ら医療を希望しない人（なかには青年の「ひきこもり」も含まれる）のアルザス地方の訪問診療を行う活動をしている。
・こうした成果から本発表ではフランスの「ひきこもり」青年たちを医療化することの意味について考えてみた。
・This presentation showed the achievements of ‘A study on measures and treatment for ‘Hikikomori (Social withdrawal)’ juveniles in France’, which Furuhashi conducted staying in France in June 2016 with scientific research aids from Maison Franco-Japonaise.
・In June 2016, Furuhashi gave lectures in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine of Strasbourg University and the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Lyon. In addition, Furuhashi gave lectures on the relation between internet addiction and Hikikomori at the “Accueil, prévention, soins en addictologie, réseau de médecine de ville” and discussed the measurements and therapy for the “Hikikomori” juveniles in France with the psychiatrists and clinical psychologists and French psychiatrists.
・Furthermore, Furuhashi has directly talked with withdrawal juveniles at the outpatient clinic of the Department of Psychiatry, Strasbourg University Hospital and has observed them from a clinical psychiatric standpoint.
・In 2017, he also became a sector medical observer in the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine of Strasbourg University and conducts visiting observation in Alsace for those who have been withdrawn for a long period but do not desire medical treatment themselves (including some “Hikikomori” juveniles).
・This presentation considered from these achievements the meaning of medicalizing the “Hikikomori” juveniles in France.
