Movie Ritual at Home

Movie Ritual at Home is a brief video illustrating the monotonous routine of watching a movie at home. It begins with the start of the microwave, to then going through the steps of simple popcorn preparation of opening and putting it in a bowl. A quick swipe of a plate of cookies as we move to the living room. Once settled we can finally let the movie begin. 

Much of the video is filmed with a warm orange Phillips Hue light to convey an intimate setting at home. I had a particularly fun time darkening the shadows of the last shot to create a nice silhouette and to emphasize the bright tv glow outline on objects directly adjacent to the television. There was one shot in the animatic that could not be executed purely because I had no additional help with filming and could not get the "POV popcorn and cookie saucer" view from above. An attempt was made but it did not match the rest of the film and felt clumsily recorded no matter the technique.
