For this storyboard I chose to film a routine that Ive done for that last 3 years, of getting flowers for my dog. I go to my grocery store are pick out Lilies, where I dont have much control over the lighting, but once I am in a controlled setting I change the lighting to something warmer that reflects how I feel while assembling the bouquet. I filmed in Publix, our grocery store, my kitchen when cutting the flowers and finally the top of my fireplace.
For the final video I had a few more shots than planned for the storyboard. However, they were mostly creative decisions, like having seperate cuts for both the lilies and the baby's breath. I tried to place the cuts first before and after a movement so there was not too much lingering between the shots. I added a few default fades for what felt like an abrupt cut. Some abrupt cuts were intentional, like the cutting of the stems!
The lighting I could control was warm , because it mimiced the mood and complimented the flowers nicely. I had two light set up, one orange and one white. The white was my key light and I moved it with me from the kitchen to the fireplace when I chnaged settings.
