About us

Our mission is to advance the technology behind early tornado warning systems with probes. We also assist early warning systems through spotting hazardous weather conditions and relaying the information to the National Weather Service, and Spotter Network. We are based in Roseville, MI and mobilize with a small group of chasers. One of which is a certified NWS Skywarn storm spotter, including Kenneth Gannon with two MetEd Skywarn certificates, and a Spotter Network chasing certification. We currently use Radar Scope, and Wx for NEXRAD radar imagery, plus MyRadar for long range reflectivity. We will begin deploying TIM (Tornado Intercept Module) probes into storms in 2021 to record barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, and dew points inside and within close range of tornadoes and other severe weather events. Right now, we use a BTMeter Anemometer and WeatherFlow WeatherMeter for wind measurements, as well as multiple other surface measurments. We have so far been on eleven chases since we started in August of 2020, with several severe and a single tornadic intercept so far. We look forward to a further commitment to science, and saving lives in the future.
