The National Association of Certified Public Accountants in Education (NACPAE) joined hands with the University of Mindanao College of Accounting Education (UM CAE) in a meaningful environmental initiative — the Mangrove Tree Planting and Coastal Clean-Up held on September 26, 2026, at Tambongon, Lasang, Davao City.

The activity brought together six NACPAE members, led by Dean Lord Eddie Aguilar, along with 134 internship students and UM CAE alumni, who came together with a shared commitment to protecting and restoring our coastal environment.

The group successfully planted 134 mangrove seedlings and collected 215 sacks of garbage, helping restore the mangrove ecosystem and promote a cleaner, healthier coastal environment. Further strengthening the initiative, NACPAE and the CAE Alumni donated 100 pieces of bamboo, which are used to support fish nets designed to trap floating debris from the sea, making it easier to collect and remove garbage from the coastal area.

Through this initiative, NACPAE and UM CAE reaffirmed that accounting education extends beyond the classroom. It also inspires future accounting professionals to become responsible citizens who care for their communities, protect the environment, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Despite heavy rain and a power outage, Project GROW: Healthy Habits, Brighter Futures was successfully conducted on August 5, 2026, at Canumay National High School. Although only 101 of the 120 identified beneficiaries attended due to the weather, organizers adapted by replacing audiovisual presentations with interactive discussions, demonstrations, and games. Students received health education on proper hygiene and healthy living, along with hygiene kits and nutritious meals through the Nourish500 Project. Extra students were also included in the feeding program to maximize available resources. The activity was supported by 16 volunteers who contributed 155 service hours, approximately ₱9,500 in donations and organizational resources, and 11 partner organizations and donors. Overall, the project demonstrated that strong collaboration and dedication can overcome challenging conditions to deliver meaningful community service.
