(Banks)
Chapter President, Journey Chapter of Central Virginia (NAAGA)
Founder & CEO, Virginia Tactical Shooting Academy LLC
Sean Banks-Lewis is an Army veteran, firearms instructor, and the visionary founder of Virginia Tactical Shooting Academy in Henrico, VA. Before launching the academy, he spent years coaching youth football, instilling discipline, respect, and accountability core values that define his leadership and training philosophy.
A defining moment in Sean’s journey was a personal encounter where his lawful firearm transport was misunderstood, revealing the high cost of confusion and the critical need for legal clarity. This experience fueled his mission to create Virginia Tactical: a training academy dedicated to making firearm safety, legal knowledge, and confidence accessible to all responsible gun owners.
As President of NAAGA’s Journey Chapter, Sean leads with strategic vision and unwavering commitment to build a professional, inclusive, and high-impact chapter. Under his leadership, the chapter delivers consistent, expert firearms education, fosters active community engagement, and advocates strongly for responsible ownership.
Sean cultivates a culture grounded in respect, clear standards, and continuous growth empowering members to become skilled, knowledgeable, and responsible leaders within their communities.
This is more than a chapter. It’s a movement. And it starts here.
