Our Mission
Equity, engagement, and education for all of South Dakota.
Our Vision
We envision an inclusive community rooted in liberation where all persons can exercise their civil and human rights without discrimination.
Theory of Change
We are committed to a world without racism where Black people enjoy equitable opportunities in thriving communities. Our work is rooted in racial equity, civic engagement, and supportive policies and institutions for all marginalized people.
Land Acknowledgement
We meet today from across this land now known as South Dakota. This land we occupy has been called ‘home’ for hundreds of years by the Oceti Sakowin [oh-CHEH-tee shaw-KOH-we] which means “Seven Council Fires” and refers collectively to the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota people.
NAACP Sioux Falls 4102-B stands in solidarity with Native nations; to protect and honor the heritage of the Oceti Sakowin, and also to learn and teach the accurate history of this place.
