All Standing Committees must have at least three (3) appointed members. They shall report in writing each month to the Executive Committee at its regular meetings.

Communications, Press, Publicity & Technology: Supports the work of each committee and the Branch with external communications.
Community Coordination: Outreach and coalition forming.
Criminal Justice: Works to reform policies and advocate for public safety.
Education: Works to eliminate discriminatory practices in public education.
Finance: Budgeting and reporting.
Freedom Fund: Plan and conduct Fundraising activities.
Health: Promote, protect, and maintain the health of BIPOC communities.
Housing:- Works to eliminate discrimination in housing.

Membership & Life Membership: Maintain and increase membership.
Political Action: Increase voter engagement and enfranchisement, monitors local and state government and legislation.

Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) - Academic and Cultural events: Recognizes high-achieving youth in academics, science, and the arts, and organizes the annual ACT-SO academic competitions for students in grades 9–12.
Armed Services & Veteran Affairs: Disseminate the identified resources, services, and programs to its members who are veterans and their families.
Economic Development: Supports local and national initiatives to strengthen economic empowerment in BIPOC communities by building relationships with public and private partners.
Environmental and Climate Justice: Works with the community to reduce harmful emissions through advocacy and to advance energy efficiency and clean energy solutions that create equitable local jobs.
Labor and Industry: Advocates for fair employment by eliminating discriminatory labor practices, promoting equal pay and advancement, supporting union participation, advancing fair employment laws, and expanding access to vocational and apprenticeship opportunities.
Prison Branch Support: Supports the coordination and development of programming of a Prison Branch.
Religious Affairs: Engages faith leaders to provide moral and ethical guidance to the civil rights movement, build partnerships with religious groups, support advocacy and fundraising, and advance education and action to improve race relations.
Tribal Relations: Outreach and coalition forming with Tribal Nations and Native communities in South Dakota.
Womxn in the NAACP (WIN): Addresses civil rights issues affecting womxn and children.
Youth Works: Develop and coordinate the programs of the Branches and Youth Units of members under age 21.
Young Adult: Supports the coordination and development of programming for members ages 21-40.
