The Criminal Investigations Department is the premier investigation agency for criminal investigation whom are tasked in handling and investigating organised crime & criminals. They are also formed with a combat squad to tackle with organised crime happening in Malaysia. Each Investigation Squad specialises in a area of investigation aspect, and everyone plays a role into tackling & managing organised crime.

The department was also responsible for the takedown of the Wo Shing Wo Triad & other known gangs in Malaysia.
