The Ordnance department is responsible for maintaining, issuing, and ensuring the safe handling of all unit drill rifles and training weapons. This includes:

• Accountability: Keeping accurate records of all drill rifles, air rifles, and training weapons assigned to the unit.

• Maintenance: Cleaning and inspecting rifles to keep them in proper working order.

• Storage & Security: Ensuring that all ordnance is stored safely and securely at all times.

• Issue & Turn‑In: Managing the check‑out/check‑in process for rifles during drill practices, ceremonies, and inspections.

• Safety: Promoting and enforcing proper weapon handling and safety procedures for all cadets.

• Support for Events: Preparing and transporting weapons as needed for parades, inspections, or competitions.
