1. How important would it be for young children in trying to interrupt the cycle of racism for teachers to apply the ABE Goals and how can they go about doing so? Do you think any of these things about the goals: Is it long overdue? Is it comprehensive, or limited? Should some things be added? What ways would you describe it: good, radical, et al.
2. How would you start a conversation with children about skin color? I would start the conversation by talking about being a bucket filler and treating people fairly and why that's important and funnel that into how sometimes people are treated unfairly because of the color of their skin.

1. Black creativity is the heartbeat of a thriving global culture, and the truth is, there is no innovation, evolution or liberation without it. What and or how would you teach young black children about black hair, while embracing this sentiment?

Answer
I would teach them that OUR hair is good hair no mtter what they may hear other people say. Being a black educator they will see my hair and learn by example.
To rember wherecwe came from and as a reminder to never go back. also as motivation to continu moving forward.

Answer
We can read books about differnt kinds of hair. we can also admire the different typesof hair in our classroom.
I have not used it but i could to discusse differences and they make us unique.

Answer
It made me feel angry. Children have emotions just like adults. Negative words hur them the same way. The only this is adults have maturit that conducts how we handle a sitution. a child will respond negativily and most times it will be physical with fighting or bitting.
I have not encountered that yet.

I can share with people who think negativly of Africa some of the positive things about it.
