Atropine is an anticholinergic drug used to treat certain types of slow heart rate, nerve agent, and pesticide poisonings rate and to decrease saliva production during surgery. It is typically given intravenously or by injection into a muscle.
ANTIDOTE FOR ATROPINE
Physostigmine, given as an atropine antidote by slow intravenous injection of 1 to 4 mg (0.5 to 1.0 mg in children), rapidly abolishes delirium and coma caused by large doses of atropine
1 mg /IV/every 3-5 minutes (Max 3mg)
2-4mg or higher organanophosphate poisoning
