Work Diary for Android Effective 14 September 2026
Work Diary does not collect your data. Everything you write stays on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising.
This privacy policy applies to Work Diary for Android, created by Ankit Raj ("the Developer"). The app is provided "as is".
None. Work Diary does not collect, transmit or receive any personal information. No registration is required and there is no sign-in. The Developer does not operate a server that receives your diary content and has no way to read it.
The following is stored only in the app's private storage on your device, and is never transmitted to the Developer or to anyone else:
Your entries — dates, work hours, descriptions, notes and next-day plans
Categories you assign to entries
Photos you attach
PDF documents you attach and documents you scan
Your reminder settings, goals and logging history
If Android Backup is enabled on your device, this data may be included in your own Google account backup. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Google's privacy policy, not this one. You can turn it off in your device settings under System → Backup.
The app requests camera access only when you tap Camera to attach a photo, or Scan to scan a document. It requests access to specific photos or PDF files only when you choose them yourself, through Android's own picker. It never browses your photo library or files on its own.
Document scanning uses Google's ML Kit Document Scanner, which runs on your device through Google Play services. The pages you scan are processed on the device and are not sent anywhere.
Items you pick or capture are copied into the app's own storage and are not uploaded anywhere.
The app does not collect or use location information of any kind.
Work Diary Pro is sold through Google Play's billing system. Google processes the payment; the Developer never sees your name, payment card or billing address. The app only asks Google whether your account currently has an active purchase, and stores that yes/no answer on the device.
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device by Android. Nothing is sent through a server and no notification content leaves your device. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app's settings, or in Android Settings.
The app collects no information, and contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party trackers, so there is nothing to share with third parties.
Google Play services is present on the device for billing and for document scanning. Its own handling of data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
You can delete any individual entry at any time. You can use Settings → Data → Clear old entries to permanently remove every entry older than a date you choose. You can also uninstall the app, which removes all of its data from the device.
Because nothing is stored on the Developer's servers, deleting on your device deletes it completely — there is no backup that can be restored for you, other than your own Google account backup if you have enabled it.
Work Diary is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed at, or used to knowingly solicit data from, children under the age of 13.
The Developer does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children, and encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's internet usage. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information through the app, please contact the Developer at ankit.raj105@gmail.com so the necessary action can be taken.
Because the app collects no information and transmits nothing off your device, the security of your entries rests on your device's own protections — your screen lock, biometric unlock, and device encryption.
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The Developer will notify you of any changes by updating this page. You are advised to review this page regularly; continued use is deemed acceptance of any changes.
If you have any questions about privacy while using Work Diary, contact the Developer at ankit.raj105@gmail.com.
