We created this space where you can connect with AI companions through text and voice conversations, create your own custom companions, generate personalized AI photos, and build meaningful virtual relationships in a safe, judgment-free environment.

1.2 FIRST TIME SETUP
STEP 1: Download and Install

A: Yes, My Men offers a free tier with:

These technologies have real costs that we pay to our AI providers for each message, minute, and image.

Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: No. My Men does not require email, phone number, or password. An anonymous identifier is automatically generated on your device. You can optionally provide a display name and profile information for AI personalization.
Q: Is My Men safe and private?
A: Yes. My Men is designed with privacy as a priority:
- All conversations stored locally on your device only
- No analytics, tracking, or data selling
- No social features or public profiles
- Anonymous usage (no real name required)

A: No. All companions are AI-powered conversational agents. They simulate realistic conversations using advanced language models but are not real people. They cannot form genuine emotional bonds or relationships.

A: No. AI companions are for entertainment and companionship only. They do not provide:

A: You must be 18 years or older. The app includes adult themes and LGBTQ+ content. Age verification is required during onboarding.

Q: Is there a free trial?
A: Yes. The Lite plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is available once per Apple ID. After 7 days, the trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled.
Q: What are the promotional offers I see on the subscription screen?
A: Occasionally, a time-limited promotional discount may appear when you visit the subscription screen. These offers provide a reduced price on your first billing period (for example, 20% off monthly or 40% off yearly plans).
Key details:
- A countdown timer shows how long the offer is available
- The discounted price is shown clearly before you confirm the purchase
- After the first billing period, your subscription renews at the standard price
- Offers are available to Free and Lite users only
- You may see up to 3 promotional offers per week (maximum 1 per day)
- All standard cancellation and refund terms apply
The promotional price is processed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), so the discounted amount appears on your receipt.
Q: Will my subscription renew at the promotional price?
A: No. Promotional pricing applies to the first billing period only. After that, your subscription renews at the standard price for your plan and billing cycle. You can check the renewal price at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You may cancel before renewal to avoid charges at the standard rate.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
A: Subscriptions are managed by the store where you purchased them — Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). My Men cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.

You must cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid being charged. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Q: I subscribed on iPhone — can I use my subscription on my Android phone (or vice versa)?
A: No. Apple App Store and Google Play are completely separate billing systems. A subscription purchased on one store is valid only on that store's platform.
Specifically, we do NOT share, sync, or transfer the following between iOS and Android:
- Subscription status or tier
- Free-trial eligibility
- Purchased consumable credits (call minutes, image credits)
- Monthly quota remaining
If you use both platforms and want paid features on both, you will need to purchase a separate subscription on each store. Your local data (chat history, custom companions, profile, albums) is also stored on your device only and does not sync between iOS and Android.

Q: Will I be double-charged if I subscribe on both platforms?
A: Yes. Each store bills independently, so subscribing on both Apple App Store and Google Play will result in two concurrent charges. Only subscribe on the platform(s) you actually use. Cancelling on one platform does NOT cancel the other.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Refunds are handled by the store where you purchased — Apple (iOS) or Google (Android), not by My Men directly.

- Refund eligibility is determined by Apple's policies

- Google Play typically offers an automatic self-serve refund window of roughly 48 hours for most in-app purchases; outside that window, refund approval is at Google's discretion

Q: What happens if I downgrade my subscription?
A: When you downgrade:
- Change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You keep access to premium features until that date
- Monthly quotas reset based on new tier
- Purchased credits (IAP) are preserved
- Custom content may become locked if it exceeds new tier limits (data preserved, access restricted)
Q: Can I buy additional credits?
A: Yes. Pro and Max users can purchase:
- Audio Call Minutes: 30 or 90 minutes
- Request Photo Credits: 30 or 90 credits (for AI photos generated by the companion)
- Share Photo Credits: 30 or 90 credits (for AI vision analysis of photos you send to the companion)
Purchased credits:
- Never expire
- Stack on top of subscription quota
- Are used after monthly subscription quota is exhausted
- Are preserved across app reinstalls
- Request Photo and Share Photo credits are SEPARATE pools — buying one does not add to the other
Q: I sent a photo but he said "I can't look at that one" — what happened?
A: The AI vision provider reviews every shared photo. If it determines the photo cannot be analyzed (for example, it detected content the provider doesn't describe — even mistakenly), the companion will tell you in chat. The API call still ran, so 1 Share Photo credit is consumed (this is consistent with how we describe credits in the Terms of Use). Transient failures like network errors or timeouts do NOT consume credits — you'll see a "Couldn't analyze that photo" message in that case and your photo bubble shows a retry hint.
Q: My Share Photo Credits screen shows fewer credits than I bought — where did they go?
A: Check Settings → Subscription & Credits → Share Photo Credits → View Details → Usage History. Each entry shows the date and which companion you shared with. Credits are drained from your monthly subscription pool first, then from purchased credits.

Q: How do voice calls work?
A: Voice calls use real-time AI voice technology:
- Pro: 30 minutes/month, Max: 90 minutes/month
- Billed per second, charged per complete minute (fair billing)
- Multiple short calls don't waste quota
- Microphone permission required
- Internet connection required (WiFi recommended)
- Audio is NOT recorded or stored
- Maximum 30 minutes per call session

Q: What are Solo Photos vs Together Photos?
A: AI photo generation comes in two modes:
SOLO PHOTOS (Pro and Max):
- Generate photos of the companion only
- Natural language prompts (e.g., "at the beach at sunset")
- Uses companion's appearance as reference
- Pro: 30/month, Max: 90/month
TOGETHER PHOTOS (Max only):
- Generate photos of you and the companion together
- Upload your photo as reference
- Natural language prompts
- Max: 90/month (shared quota with Solo)
Credits are only consumed if generation succeeds. Failed attempts show "No credit charged."
Q: What are custom companions?
A: Pro and Max users can create personalized AI companions:

Q: How does relationship tracking work?
A: Pro and Max users can track their relationship with each companion:

Q: How much storage does the app use?
A: Storage usage varies:
- Base app: ~75 MB (includes 130 companion images)
- AI-generated photos: ~2-5 MB each
- Custom companions: ~3-5 MB each
- Recommendation: Keep at least 500 MB free for optimal performance
Q: Does My Men work offline?
A: Partially:
- View existing chats and images: Yes (stored locally)
- Send new messages: No (requires internet)
- Make voice calls: No (requires internet)

3.3 DELETING YOUR DATA
CLEAR INDIVIDUAL CHATS:
1. Go to Chats tab
2. Swipe left on any chat
3. Tap "Delete"
- Deletes all messages and images in that chat
CLEAR ALL CHATS:
1. Go to Chats tab
2. Tap "Clear Chat History" button (trash icon near search)
3. Confirm deletion
- Deletes all chats and generated images
- Preserves: Call history, custom companions, profile, subscription
RESET APP (FACTORY RESET):
1. Go to Settings → Danger Zone
2. Tap "Reset App"
3. Confirm warning dialog

WHICH PLAN IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Start with FREE if:
- You want to try the app first and see if it's right for you
- You're fine with short breaks between chat sessions
- You're exploring what AI companionship can offer
- You don't need voice calls or photos right now
Choose LITE if:
- You want unlimited conversations without restrictions
- You want access to all 130 diverse companions

4.2 FREE TRIAL
WHO CAN GET THE FREE TRIAL?
- New subscribers to Lite plan only
- One time per Apple ID (managed by Apple)
- Cannot be reset or repeated
- Eligibility survives app reinstalls and device changes
HOW TO START FREE TRIAL:
1. Open Settings → Subscription
2. Tap "Upgrade to Lite Plan"
3. Select Monthly or Yearly
4. Tap "Start 7-Day Free Trial" (if eligible)
5. Confirm with Face ID/Touch ID/Password
- Trial begins immediately

2. These facts are stored as "memories" locally on your device
3. When you start a new conversation, relevant memories are included in the AI's context

- This is intentional privacy protection. My Men posts notifications with VISIBILITY_PRIVATE plus a redacted public version ("New message") so the lock screen never reveals who messaged you or what they said
- To see the full content, unlock the device — the full notification appears once unlocked
- If you prefer full content on the lock screen, adjust Android Settings → Notifications → Lock screen → Show all notification content (this is a device-wide setting; My Men's redaction cannot be disabled individually)
CAN'T INSTALL UPDATE FROM GOOGLE PLAY (Android):
1. Free up device storage (updates need temporary space)

PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY:

4. Regularly review and delete old conversations

- iOS: Enable Screen Time restrictions if sharing the device; hide My Men app using App Library; use the Photos "Hidden" album for saved images
