Hello Kindergarten Families!
My name is Alison Suarez. I'm a kindergarten teacher here at Mount Washington Elementary School. This is my ninth year teaching, and my sixth year teaching kindergarten! I have also spent time teaching first grade.
I am from a small town in western Kentucky and moved to Louisville to attend U of L, where I got my Bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in Psychology and my Master's degree in Literacy. I have also completed the LETRS Program to obtain my Rank I teaching certificate. My husband and I have beautiful twin girls, two very spoiled cats, and two crazy dogs. When I'm not at school I enjoy spending my time with our girls, relaxing, and working on household projects. I also love everything Disney and anything chocolate!
I'm so excited to get to know your students and work alongside them this year!

My name is Katie Couch. This is my 8th year as a kindergarten assistant at MWES. My husband Jason and I have been married for 19 years and have 2 girls. Jacie(16) and Ellie(14) both go to Bullitt East and play basketball. My husband coaches boys basketball at BE so that is where you will find me most nights during the winter. We have a miniature goldendoodle named Chance who loves belly rubs, walks and treats. I love to cook, read, and work on projects around the house in my free time. I am excited for the new school year and can't wait to meet each of you!
