FRC 5962 has moved theIR site to

This is still Merrimack Valley Robotics site and is under reconstruction. Will be fully redesigned by August!!

Join us for our 2018-2019 season

Welcome! We're FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team 5962, also called perSEVERE. Founded in 2015, we're a regional team based at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, with students in grades 7-12 from all over the Merrimack Valley area of Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.

During the 2017-2018 season, we received the Chairman's Award, the highest distinction given by FIRST, at the New England District Championship, and had the opportunity to compete in the FIRST Championship in Detroit, MI, for the first time! We're incredibly grateful for all our sponsors and supporters who made this possible.

As we gear up for the upcoming season and strive to improve, we're looking for new members and mentors to join us. FRC is more than just robotics—teams are challenged to raise funds, design a team, brand themselves, hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to "real-world engineering" as a student can get.

Whether you’re a curious incoming high school freshman, a passionate robotics nerd, a UMass Lowell student, or a professional in STEM, business, or beyond, we’d love to meet you! Please fill out our interest form, or get in touch at
