Q&A
Who is invited to perform? Any alumni from the past 50 years - performer, instrumentalist, stage crew, etc.
Do I need to attend all the rehearsals? The rehearsals are designed to help alumni relearn music and reconnect with old friends. The more practices you attend, the more comfortable you will be on stage. Rehearsal is not required to perform with all alumni on July 25.
What will alumni be performing? Currently it will be "Beautiful City" and "Celebration" - both of which were performed at the 25th Anniversary Concert. There is the potential of having multi-generational alumni doing a special number (grandparent/parent/child, spouses, siblings, cousins, etc.).
Do I need a ticket if I am performing? Yes - all attendees, except current members of Music Warehouse, need to purchase tickets. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be used to create a scholarship fund.
I do not feel comfortable dancing. Can I still be on stage for the alumni performances? ABSOLUTELY!! At the 25th Anniversary Concert there were several alumni who stood on the sides of the stage and sang. No pressure here!!
What should I wear for the performance? Please wear all black - pants, shirts, dresses are all acceptable.
Will I be able to get any memorabilia from the event? The reunion committee plans to offer a keepsake printed program (limited quantity available day-of, then programs will be available to be ordered). More information on DVDs, shirts and other items will be coming. There are also some pieces from the 25th reunion we will have available.
I have my old costume/concert program/photos. Would you be interested in these? Yes! We would love to show off 50 years of costumes at the reunion! Please let Verda or Kristi know what you have available!
We are also collecting programs, photos, news clippings, etc. to add to this website to anyone can view them. Please bring them with you to a rehearsal and/or reunion and our committee can discuss next steps.
All items will be returned to original owners.
I shared my old photos and programs at the 25th reunion and need to get those back. Jim Inman has a variety of items from 2001 that he will have at the reunion to return to the original owners.
Is there a post-concert event? We're working on that!
Do you need volunteers? We would love to have some extra help! Please reach out to Verda and Kristi and let them know your availability and interests.
What else can I do? There are several things that can help:
Spread the word! Share this website, the Facebook group and the rehearsal and concert schedule. Not everyone is on Facebook, so check your LinkedIn, Instagram and other connections.
Watch videos from the 25th reunion - Beautiful City and Celebration - to get reacquainted with the music. We will get sheet music uploaded soon for your review.
Anything we missed? Send Verda or Kristi an email or text, or give them a call!
Michelle "Miki" Griffin recorded the choreography for Celebration - front and back. This is the woman's choreography, but many of the men's steps are the same. Thank you, Miki!
