I joined Team Envision PNEC NUST which is a group of talented and hard-working students from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Shell Eco Marathon, a volunteering society where students work on their project car to make it most fuel efficient in the competition called “Shell Eco Marathon Asia, SEMA”, a platform provided by Shell. From designing to fabrication all work is done by students. I joined that society in 2017 and worked as a junior team member and participated on the fund in the international competition SEMA that held in Singapore in 2018. We secured 12th position in the electric vehicle category and due to my work in team, I was given the fabrication lead for the next year. We participated again in 2019. The competition held in Malaysia this time and we secured second position in technical innovation category. I led a team of 8 junior members out of which 6 were selected for their exceptional work to participate in the competition. We performed well as a team, and I was awarded with a High Achievers Award from the rector of my university. The Team has been representing the country at the Shell Eco-Marathon since its inception in 2009 and is, proudly, the oldest International Team from Pakistan. The team bagged Communication Award at the 2014 Shell Eco-marathon and a special mention award in the Innovation category at the 2017 Shell Eco-marathon.
