SHAMA-E-ILM
INSTRUCTOR
As an active member of the university student group "Shama-e-Ilm" (Lamp of Knowledge), our mission focused on eradicating child labor through education. We established a school on a rented place managed by dedicated members, providing foundational education to underprivileged children. In my role, I taught students for at least two days a week, ensuring teacher punctuality and creating schedules for an optimal learning environment. Our commitment extended beyond the initial phase, as we actively sought suitable schools for a seamless transition, securing funding opportunities with sponsors. Holistic development was prioritized through diverse extracurricular activities within and outside the school. Community involvement was integral; we offered counseling to students and parents, advocating for prioritizing education in supportive home environments. To have a better impact, we organized awareness campaigns and camps, instilling hope for a brighter future. Regular group meetings facilitated open communication and strategic planning, driving our unwavering commitment to eradicating child labor through education. Through Shama-e-Ilm, we aimed to illuminate the path of knowledge, empowering every child with the chance to flourish and build a better life.
NUST-PNEC Olympiad is a sports event held every year where more then 40 sports were played (Including indoor and outdoor games) in which multiple teams participate from different institutions. My main responsibilities were to ensure proper communication (including score info, medical issues, shortage of equipment) and to ensure proper transfer of information from the event to the college administration with a team of six people. Arranged meetings between the event leads and the college administration.
