VOLUNTEER PROJECTS
Grand Masjid Al-Jarina, Palestine
Virtual Land, OpenVL
OpenVL is a nonprofit organization committed to 3D documenting and preserving architectural heritage for future generations
Our primary goal is to create a comprehensive digital archive of Palestine's remaining heritage sites, such as the historic village of Lifta, one of the most beautiful last-standing heritage sites.
Al-Jareena case study:
Property Name: Al Jarina Grand Mosque, Al-Nasr Mosque, مسجد الجرينة
Year of Construction: 1775
Style: Ottoman
Significance: Al-Jreena Mosque, Al-Nasr Mosque, or the Great Mosque of Haifa, an ancient mosque dating back to the Ottoman era in Palestine. It is located in the old city of Haifa. It is the second oldest mosque in Haifa after the small mosque. In 1901, the Ottomans built a clock tower adjacent to this building as part of several towers erected in honor of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. It was called “Al-Jreena” because of the large stone yard in front of it dedicated to grain intended for export via Haifa Port at that time.
HERITAGE BIM
HBIM aims to develop a detailed, visual, and informational BIM model and database for preservation, restoration, and analysis. Additionally, HBIM supports renovation, maintenance, and conservation projects by providing comprehensive 3D models enhanced with historical context and it's significance is most highlighted where cultural heritage is constantly at risk!
It was an honor to be part of a noble work of such significance and importance, It stands as a profound monument to my connection and dedication to the Palestinian Cause.
My Contribution to this Project Involved the development of LOD 400 BIM Model from the Provided Point cloud of the heritage site and Providing the client with the following Deleveribles:
-Drawing & Sheets
-CAD Drawings
-Renders
-3D Model (FBX, DWFx, rvt)
-3D Viewer

LIFTA Village , Al-Shami Valley, West Bank, Palestine
Lifta Village Case Study:
Property Name: Lifta Village (قرية لفتا)
Period: Pre-1948 (Ottoman to British Mandate)
Style: Traditional East Mediterranean Vernacular Architecture
Significance: Lifta Village is the last intact, abandoned Palestinian village located near Jerusalem, representing a rare surviving example of traditional East Mediterranean architecture integrated within its agricultural landscape. Preserved as a “frozen-in-time” site, Lifta stands as a powerful physical memory of the 1948 Palestinian Nakba. Beyond its architectural value, the village symbolizes the enduring struggle of Palestinian refugees and their right of return, while ongoing preservation efforts aim to protect the site from redevelopment into a luxury complex.
