Classical Guitar Book!.pdf

Welcome to your online learning page.

To the left you will find a copy of our book (Book 1 only). If you cannot access it, please let me know. The pages are not numbered like the ones you so I will give you the titles of the pieces.

Before the break, I gave you a list of pages that I wanted you to work on.

I thought it would be a great if you could record yourselves playing the following and share it with me by putting it in your AMG 10R or AMG 20R folders in your google drive.

Here is a list of the pieces you can record:

  • The Fourth String D, letters C and D
  • The Fifth String A, letters C and D
  • C Major Scale and exercises: letters C and D

Remember your posture and your hand position on your guitar. Use your index and middle finger to pluck the strings and spread your left hand so that each finger is devoted to a fret.

Grade 10's:

  • Please learn the next solo piece in your book and record it when you feel ready. You can share it with me through your AMG20R folder in your google drive.

Theory work:

Once you have a good handle on this here are some exercises for you to work on:

Repeat the exercises until you feel comfortable with this. Keep a log of your marks and the dates you completed it (you can share this when we see each other next).

2) Under exercises choose key signature and then identification. Select the following so that they appear green (but choose 10 exercises, not 5):

Repeat the exercises until you feel comfortable with this. Keep a log of your marks and the dates you completed it (you can share this when we see each other next).

That's it! That's all for now!

Grade 10's:

  • Please work on the tutorials on Intervals except for Geometric Interval Constructor (make sure you select the blue text for further instructions)
  • Then you could work on the exercises on Intervals Construction. Make sure you select the following:

Repeat the exercises until you feel comfortable with this. Keep a log of your marks and the dates you completed it (you can share this when we see each other next).

That's all for now!

Week 7

Hello everyone!

Here’s your task this week. There is a free app that is available for both Android and Apple called Video Collage Maker: Mix Videos (android) and Photo & Video Collage Maker (Apple). These look almost identical and work really well.

So here is what I would like you to do. I would like you to record the 2 parts of DUET #1 that you practiced last week using the app.

Remember that there is a pick up beat so you have to count to 3 before playing the top line. The bottom line starts on beat 1.

Keep in mind: 1) Use the double grid in the app. 2) I also expect to be able to see your face and your hands.

ALSO

1) USE A METRONOME!!! It doesn't matter to me if I hear the click.

2) GIVE YOURSELF A FULL BAR OF METRONOME CLICKS BEFORE PLAYING

3) YOU CAN MODIFY THE START TIME OF THE VIDEO IN THE APP IF THE 2 VIDEOS ARE NOT IN SYNC.

4) HAVE FUN!

Please have this ready for next Monday May 11th.

Thanks

Have a great week!
