Concert Band
JUNIOR repertoire students: 2 new scores
Hello to my great budding musicians. It's sad that we can't get together and play as a group for a while. In the meantime, you can print your part and play along with the Youtube video of the pieces. If you click on the titles below it will open the links to the Youtube videos. Keep practicing out of your Standard of Excellence Book 2. If you can't find your books let me know and I'll share a copy with you. Don't forget to practice these pieces too:

SENIOR repertoire students: 3 new scores
Hello to my amazing senior music students. During this unusual no contact time, I am making available 3 new scores to the left. You can print your part and play along with the Youtube video of the piece. Keep practicing out of the Essential technique book, specifically the reading skill builder exercises starting on page 34 and your scales. If you can't find your books let me know and I'll share a copy with you. Don't forget to practice these scores too:
NEW PIECES:
Stay safe. Keep challenging your brain!
I am excited about this idea I want to share with you. I found a free app that is available for both Android and Apple called Video Collage Maker: Mix Videos (android) and Photo & Video Collage Maker (Apple). These look almost identical and work really well.
So here is what I am proposing:
You have a choice to choose your own duet or trio or quartet (see below what is expected depending on grade level). Record all the parts. Merge them into one video using the app.
OR you could choose the quartet below (in the key of your choice) to play from. Record and merge your videos using the app.
PLACE ALL OF YOUR FILES IN YOUR AMR FOLDERS IN YOUR GOOGLE DRIVE
Gr. 9's record only a duet
Gr. 10's and 11's record a trio
Gr. 12's record a quartet
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
1) USE A METRONOME!!! It doesn't matter to me if I hear the click.
2) GIVE YOURSELF A FULL BAR OF METRONOME CLICKS BEFORE PLAYING
3) YOU CAN MODIFY THE START TIME OF THE VIDEO IF THEY ARE NOT IN SYNC.
4) IF YOU PICK YOUR OWN PIECE, DON'T PICK A COMPLICATED PIECE WITH LOTS OF EIGHTH NOTES UNLESS YOU WANT TO COMMIT A CRAZY AMOUNT OF TIME GETTING THEM IN SYNC.
5) HAVE FUN!
