Some Details:
Camp:
Sand Prairie, a second choice after a HipCamp site near Whiskey Run Trail system evaporated, has been so utterly uninteresting during the last decade that the Middle Fork of the Willamette River seems to have distanced itself from the whole affair by moving a couple hundred yards to the West, denying Sand Prairie and the campers therein, any waterfront property to view or splash in. The temperatures were not as advertised on the screenshot in the photo album which promised a high of 88 degrees. Actual temps were between 88 and 104, temperatures that discouraged fires of any sort.
The Middle Fork Willamette Trail starts at the South end of the campground and runs along the river for over 30 miles! Rising to the challenge, we traversed several miles! Tom's new bike stayed in the campground due to rider injury incurred elsewhere. Joe, Walter, and Mark soaked the trail with sweat for about 6 miles and coasted back on the road. Hot.
