Physics is all about the what, how, and why of motion. This unit we will be focusing on why things are capable of movement in the first place. How does energy flow between objects? How can it be stored, released, and used? How can we compare different energy outputs?
Topics we will cover in this unit:
Potential and Kinetic Energies Conservative and Non-Conservative Forces Power Outputs and Applications
By the end of the unit, the student should be able to:
Depict models of energy in a system and how that energy flows
Use models to develop equations that describe change in energy or transfer of energy in a system
Design labs to test the law of conservation of energy
