The purpose of the Executive Committee is to plan the executive functions and activities of the HIV Advisory Board including,
prepare and execute the annual work plan
set the annual meeting schedule
prepare regular meeting agendas
review bylaws and make recommendations for changes
manage communications about the HIV Advisory Board, including managing the webpage and sending updates and announcements

The purpose of the Community Action Board (CAB) is to empower consumers of HIV services to self-advocate in a safe, peer-to-peer environment. The CAB is responsible for the following activities:
inform the HIV Advisory Board about treatment barriers and gaps
educate consumers on their rights and service navigation
provide a safe space for consumers to voice their opinion and concerns
nurture peer relationships and support
facilitate dialogue and collaboration with the HIV Advisory Board to achieve mutual goals

The purpose of the Provider Advisory Committee (PAC) is to work as a collaborative body to use needs assessment findings, qualitative experiential knowledge, quantitative data and consumer feedback to improve the services of HIV service providers and the system of care for people at risk for and living with HIV. The PAC is responsible for the following activities:
conduct case reviews
share referrals and information
collaborate on quality improvement projects
coordinate to reduce duplication of services and maximize resources
improve interagency communication
hold providers accountable to goals
coordinate consumer events, such as lunch and learns
advance initiatives and strategies of the Ending the HIV Epidemic Plan

The purpose of the Needs Assessment Committee (NAC) is to conduct a bi-annual community needs assessment on a topic of concern to people living with HIV and oversee improvement plans based on needs assessment recommendations. The NAC is responsible for the following activities:
select a needs assessment topic based on feedback from providers and consumers, federal and state guidelines and changes to the medical and psychosocial landscape
determine research methodology and timeline for needs assessment activities
prepare research tools such as surveys, database reports and focus group questions
distribute and collect evaluation tools and record and organize collected data
analyze data and write a report on findings
share findings with the HIV Advisory Board and the community
Make recommendations based on findings
Prepare and executive improvement plans and strategies based on recommendations

The purpose of the Steering Committee is to provide strategic oversight, advice, support and technical assistance to subcommittee chairs. The Steering Committee is responsible for the following activities:
draft specific and measurable goals for review and approval by the HIV Advisory Board
provide a collaborative space for chairs to discuss challenges and engage in problem solving
ensure collaboration between committees to reduce duplication and maximize effort and time
