Process Flow Diagram

Process Flow Diagram steps:

•PET plastic feeds through the shredder entrance, where it is shredded to smaller pieces usable for energy conversion

•The plastic pieces feed into a washing and rinsing step, where soap and water is pumped into the system to rid plastic pieces of contaminants

•The plastic is separated by a sieve to remove the desired large pieces from the undesired microplastics

•The wash water is fed into a metal drum, where ferrofluid coats the inside of the drum to attract the microplastics and remove from the system
