The Student Bar Association (SBA) is dedicated to the well-being and success of every student at MSU College of Law. We serve as your advocate on all matters that affect student life, whether that involves academic policy changes, grading and curve concerns, study room access, or campus infrastructure. If it matters to students, it matters to us. Our mission is to create an environment where you can excel academically while also maintaining balance, health, and a strong sense of community.
We understand that law school can be intense, but it should not come at the expense of your well-being. That is why we work tirelessly to improve life both inside and outside the classroom. Each year, we host a variety of events designed to connect students, reduce stress, and strengthen our community. Signature traditions such as the Halloween Party and Barristers’ Ball are student favorites, bringing everyone together to celebrate and enjoy time away from academic pressures. Our wellness and social committees also plan activities such as yoga sessions, therapy dog visits, and social dance nights, creating opportunities to step away from the casebooks and focus on your personal well-being.
The SBA is committed to ensuring every student feels heard, supported, and valued. We take every concern seriously and work to find solutions that have a meaningful impact. Whether you need advocacy, resources, or simply help connecting with the right people, we strive to be your reliable point of contact for navigating both the challenges and opportunities of law school.
Think of us as your guides, your advocates, and your colleagues, walking alongside you through the challenges, successes, and personal growth that define the law school experience.
