Here are several avenues to joining SBA. If you have any questions, contact a member of the SBA for assistance!
With in-person classes back in full swing, the SBA is excited to announce our annual Fall General Election right here in the law building. This is your chance to get involved, make your voice heard, and help shape the student experience at MSU Law. General Elections typically take place in the first few weeks of the academic year. Have questions? Reach out to Administrative Director Chloe Vomastek at msusbacomm@gmail.com. You can also get more info by visiting the SBA office in room 336 of the Law College.
Occasionally, when vacancies occur, a special election will be called. Keep an eye on the student docket and the SBA Instagram for announcements regarding special elections!

Liasons are non-voting, low commitment positions within SBA. These positions often represent SBA to an office or outside organization, gathering information, forming connections, and carrying out the business of the SBA. This position only requires a monthly update to the SBA general board and regular communication between your chosen office or organization. Contact Vice-President Simonaitis for more information!
Elected general board members serve a single term lasting one school year, and positions do not carry over into the following year. All eligible 1L and 2L general board members, committee chairs, and executive board members may run for an Executive Board position. Executive Board members serve for one full calendar year. After a new Executive Board is elected, all eligible 1L and 2L general board members may apply to be appointed as a committee chair. Committee chairs serve a one-year term, corresponding to a single school year.
