Planners
Homework is written in the planner daily. The planner is not only used to help develop organizational skills but also as a way to practice their printing/handwriting and to use proper conventions. Please initial each day – this practice is to help students form a habit of taking the planner out each evening to ensure they’ve completed any outstanding assignments and to shared this information with their parents/guardians. The planner is also a method for home/school communication. If it is more convenient for you to write us a note in the planner, please feel free. (We may not always immediately see the note, email is always the fastest way to contact me). Due to covid-19, we encourage communication between home and school to be done through email or phone call.
At times, because of space limitations, homework that has been written in the planner may be vague. Students are expected to recall instructions, however, if there is an issue of clarity in what is expected, please try the classroom blog for more information. We try to post information about new or different forms of homework so that parents/guardians have something to refer to in order to help their children.
Please place any money into a plastic bag or envelope labeled with your child’s name and purpose for the money. We will do my best to return any bags to students so that they may be reused!
Communication
If there are ever any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us. Particularly when there is a concern, it is best to clear it up with us before it develops into something larger. We can be reach through the school (604-946-0321) or by email at itan@deltaschools.ca or jogorman@deltaschools.ca. A very valuable source of information for our class is through our class website http://deltalearns.ca/mstansclass/. We will do our best to post information and news at least once a week.
