I will post various links for your child to click on and have meaningful interactions with! This week we will look at living and non-living things.
This video explains the difference between living and non-living things. Point to different things in the house and ask your child is this living or non-living.
This is a virtual tour of the Denali National park and Reserve in Alaska. Students have been watching Molly of Denali for some time now. It was great to see how much students were interested with learning about Denali. Please go through the virtual tour and ask your child the various living things they see.
Ask them:
Are trees living?
Is water living?
What does soil feel like?
What types of animals do they see?
Please check Mrs. Seran's website to complete some Earth day stations.
I would like students to build a robot out of used and recycled materials from home. The robot can be whatever the students would like it to be. Students will present their robot on Thursday!
Please have your child answer these questions:
What is a habitat?
What five things do animals need to survive in its habitat?
Draw one habitat you saw from the video
