Below are frequently asked questions by most parents during the school year.
What is the best way to contact Ms. Prewitt?
-The best way to contact me is through email at prewittdarreona01@gmail.com between 2:50-5:00 p.m. If there's no response, I will get back with you within 24 hours. There is also a contact information tab that discloses the best time and several other ways to contact me.
What if I can't find your classroom?
-There could potentially be other teachers present in the hallway. They could help. If there are not any teachers in the hallway, please go to the main office and ask for me. I could help guide you to my classroom.
If my child will be absent, who do I contact?
-If your child will be absent, please contact the main office and let them know. (870)-555-5553
Is there a time policy for picking up children?
-Children whose parent/guardian picks them up should pick them up in a timely manner between 2:35-2:50p.m. At 3 o'clock, if a child is still on campus, who ever is on the child's emergency contact will be contacted to pick up the child. After 3 calls, CPS will be called for child neglect.
~If there is a problem with picking up the child after school, the parent/ guardian should reach me at prewittdarreona01@gmail.com to help find a solution that best ensures the child's safety getting home.
How can I ensure my child is doing well in the classroom?
-There is a classroom Dojo for parents to monitor their child's behavior. Dojo is updated everyday. I also send progress reports home every 2 weeks on Fridays with the students. They are to have them signed by a parent/ guardian and returned the following Monday.
Where can I find my child's homework?
-Homework can be found under the Parent Information tab and Student Information tab. You can also find the homework, by clicking here.
Where can I find information about upcoming school event?
-Information about upcoming events can be found under the School Information tab under School Announcements. You can also find the upcoming school announcements here.
Where can I find the classroom rules?
-Classroom rules can be found on the AUP tab. It is included in the AUP document. You can also find the classroom rules here.
Am I allowed to send treats for the class on a birthday/ holiday?
-Yes. Parents are allowed to send treats on birthdays or holidays, but only if the item is store bought and contains no opening. If you want to send treats, please inform me ahead of time so proper schedule adjustments can be made. Send me an email at prewittdarreona01@gmail.com
Are there any extra practice worksheets/ websites to help my child?
-Yes. Extra homework practice websites can be found under the Student Information tab under Websites. Under Student Activities, Drills & Practice can be found. You can also find Drill & Practices I have created for this weeks assignments here.
