Hi ya’ll! My name is Ms. Nguyen and I’m so excited to be your history teacher. History is my favorite things to study and I can’t wait to share my passion and work with you this upcoming school year. This will be my fifth year teaching and my third year at Kennedy. When I’m not teaching, you can catch me in the kitchen trying out new recipes, hiking along the California coast, or reading a new book.

Some other cool facts about me are -

1. I’m the oldest of 3 girls but also the shortest in terms of height

2. I earned my Bachelors (2017) and Masters (2018) degree back to back at the same university (Go Highlanders!)

3. When I was growing up, I didn’t speak English until kindergarten! My first language was Vietnamese

4. My love for history actually stems from my grandparents telling me about how they escaped Vietnam by boat in hopes of starting a new life in America during the Vietnam War

5. I love to travel and explore new foods! The picture on the left is from me at Pike's Place Market in Seattle.
