This tool will be focused on developing tools and resources that follow the BC curriculum and then expand beyond to have a collaborative platform where the community can share their projects and learnings.
Once it is established it will move beyond British Columbia to the rest of Canada.
People outside of Canada can obviously use it, however, by focusing on a smaller set of curriculum outcomes and contexts this project has the best course for success.
The investors for this tool should see the market value in a tool that combines diversity, cultural understanding, and authentic resources to bridge the gaps in understanding.
Ideally, governments, boards of education, and ministries are the target investors so that it can be implemented and distributed to as many classrooms as possible.
For this project to be successful it needs the project manager/founder along with two developers to build the AI and website, an educational designer, and a marketing specialist.
As this is an educational tool, people will analyze the effectiveness of the content that the AI collects and will adapt the collection to the needs of the tool.
To build the first version of The Cultural Calendar it will take about 700,000USD and then a secondary round of funding to make the necessary changes to expand beyond British Columbia and continue to grow the company.
This is broken down into hourly or salaried wages for the team and the amount of time it will take to complete this tool.
