Remember, although we are a virtual public school, you are required to work for a minimum of 28 hours per week on school work (this averages about 5-6 hours per day). ***This is based on completed assignments. If you are on track with lessons, this will not be an issue.
If your student is ill, or if you are unable to complete lessons, please reach out to your child's teacher
Your student's teacher will check attendance on the following Monday of each week.
You may complete assignments on any day or time!
Students receive a certain number of vacation days each school year (typically 25 days per family) Generally, vacation days are used to cover school holidays--Labor Day, Thanksgiving break, winter break, etc. However, students can use vacation days at any time and work on school holidays instead. If students go over their number of allotted vacation days, the vacation days alert will appear( More about escalation can be found HERE). Caretakers can see the number of vacation days used so far in the student's data views under "Student Vacation Days Tracking."
If you choose to work on a school holiday and save your vacation day for another day, You must make sure that your student completes at least a couple of lessons that day in order to not use a vacation day for that day.
