Printing Club
Welcome to Mission San Jose High School's 3D printing club website!
The MSJ 3D Printing Club strives to introduce students to the world of additive manufacturing and new technologies relating to 3D printing. We have been teaching students different 3D design software skills and instructing them on the hardware of a 3D printer and how to use one ever since 2013. Throughout this year, we will be learning about different CAD software and 3D printers as well as debate over the ethics of the field. The club also creates a MakerSpace environment with many different tools such as a laser cutter, 3D printer, CNC machine, power tools, and much more!
FAQS:
What is 3D Printing?
3D Printing is a game-changing additive manufacturing process that turns a computer model into a real-life 3D object. This is done by a 3D Printer which is a machine that builds up layers of material, each successive layer bonds to the preceding layer.
What is CAD?
CAD or "Computer-Aided Design", is the use of computer-based software to design objects virtually. This is the program where the objects that are 3D printed are designed. Additionally, it's an important step in the industrial engineering design process.
