Having taken Euclidean Geometry, I was exposed to a lot of the basics of geometry that I dont remember learning in high school geometry. A lot of what I learned, in the begining at least, was about relearning the foundation of what geometry is and how different shapes are formed. In this class, I was taught how to construct lots of different shapes using only lines, circle, angle, ect. and I got a much better understand of the how and why these shapes can exist. I think this will be useful information becasue I will be able to apply this knowledge to my future classes that I will teach, and also I will be able to use resources like Geogebra to show examples to my students. For me, geogebra was a big help in understanding the interaction between the different shapes. This will be helpful to students because they will be able to manipulate the figures and make observations about them, which a lot of times was a major factor in being able to understand. By having a resource that can be manipulaated, it gives infinately many more opportunites for understanding.
