The majority of the time a student's daily homework will consist of independently reading a book or text of their choice for at least 20 minutes. Reading a book can also include listening to an audiobook, reading a news article or nonfiction text, and reading a graphic novel.

It is your responsibility to check Google Classroom when you are absent. Check that day’s assignments + materials under the Classwork tab for your missing work.

You have two days to complete your missing work before late points are deducted.

You’ll learn best when you turn in work on time. We have due dates for a reason. However, I will accept late work - it is important that you still get the learning needed to be successful. I cannot accept late work after a grading period has ended If you need help with an assignment, please sign up for Lunch Bunch tutoring. Points will be deducted for late assignments.

I fully believe that everyone is a reader, it may just be that you haven't found the right book yet! My goal is to give you the skills and tools you need to be a successful reader and help you persevere and practice until you feel successful. I also will work to get to know you and help you find books that you are interested in. 

I just ask that you never give up and remember that the only way to get better at reading is to read!
