Each day during class we will review the previous night's homework by giving out the answers to all the problems. During this time we will go over any problem that a student had missed. By allowing them to review and correct any errors prior to submitting their work, they are able to discuss openly any confusion about a particular problem that they may have and hopefully get a better understanding of the concept.
This should also guarantee that all homework grades should be 100%. They have the option to make any and all corrections to their homework prior to submitting their work. However, they must show a change in the work, not just a change in the answer.
Late work will be accepted up to the day of the test. I will not accept late work after a test except in the case of illness or excused absences. Please remember Aquarian's policy is students are given one day per absent day to make up work. In other words, if your child is absent one day, they have one day after their return to turn in the missing work. Math books can now be accessed online so that should with keeping up with missing work.
Tests will be given after every five lessons. Students are able to retake any test if they did not receive a passing grade. To retake a test, they must make all corrections on the test, complete practice problems from missed questions on a test, and arrange with me to retake the test during their lunch and/or recess time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
