Hello families!
I am grateful to be part of the Aquarian family! Born and raised in Anchorage, I graduated from Alaska Pacific University and taught for 10 years in the Anchorage School District before packing my bags and taking on the great adventure of teaching overseas. I lived for four years in the Sultanate of Oman, and two years in Krakow, Poland. I moved back to Anchorage, my hometown, to be closer to friends and family again, three years ago! I taught 6th grade for three years and this year moved down to 5th grade.
You can usually find me outside hiking or camping with my dog, Nala. I also love traveling, music and reading. I enjoy teaching and strive to inspire a love for learning in all my students, focusing on building a strong classroom community. I can’t wait to meet you this fall!
Warmly,
Ms. Sarah
