Hello!

My name is Susie McGrath, and I am a Visual and Digital Arts Teacher. I have a BA in Fine Art and a Master's Degree in Education from California Lutheran University. I hold both a Secondary Art Teacher Credential and a Multiple Subject Teacher Credential. 

I believe that every child is an artist! My goal is to provide a safe space for students to explore, take creative risks, and feel empowered to express themselves through their work. I love to integrate contemporary artists and art history into my lessons, which helps students make meaningful connections to artists' work, techniques, and approaches.  I am passionate about helping my students develop creative and artistic confidence and find ways to problem-solve using their imaginations. I hope that each student will come away with a deeper love of art, an understanding of what it means to be an artist, stronger technical skills to create art, and the ability to see themselves as artists whose work adds value to the world.
