classroom do's

My pedagogical approach is firm, fair, and friendly. I expect students to come to class prepared to learn. I coined the phrase classroom "Do's" to help students adjust to standards that will hold them accountable for their academic and social-emotional growth. In my class, there are only five classroom rules: raise your hand and wait to be called, use helping hands, use nice words, use accountable learning talk, and walk in the school building. All these requirements will help students be safe, learn, and be content. If a student commits an infraction, I will offer a warning before removing a classroom or schoolwide privilege(s).
