After quarterly data review, parent/guardian and teacher contact, and collaboration with colleagues, I create small groups that can focus on academic skills as well as work with individuals to set intentions and goals for the students.
Each year I coordinate student led tours for our local five feeder schools. I train current students to act as guides to show our building, and programs off to new students for a school visit as well as an evening parent/guardian night.
I work with students who did not qualify for the monthly positive behavior initiative. We set goals and next steps to be the best student that they can be. Each month this group has gotten smaller resulting in improved student behavior.
